‘THE SHOP’, DEWSBURY – Invitation to the opening of Mencap in Kirklees’ new drop-in service

On Wednesday the 18th of June we will be opening ‘The Shop’ which is a new drop-in and information service in the centre of Dewsbury. The Shop has been made possible thanks to funding from Kirklees Council’s Community Partnerships.

 The Shop will be a place for people with learning disabilities, and for their family and carers, to come to for information and advice and to take part in many beneficial activities.

 We would like to invite you to the official opening to be undertaken by Matthew Burton (Assistant Head and English Teacher of Thornhill Community Academy) from the TV series Educating Yorkshire.  This will take place on the Wednesday at 11ambut we will be welcoming visitors all day.

The address is 2 Church Street, Dewsbury, WF13 1LB. This is at the bottom of Daisy Hill opposite the Halifax bank.
